Hello Every One!

My name is Angel L. Padillo and I am an IT Coordinator for a local hospital in Dover, DE.
My years of experience, from the different classes taken in college to different positions in the workforce, have taught me to keep an open mind. This helps when it comes to troubleshooting problems at work, and teaching my children at home.

When I have some free time I like to learn new things. Some nights I stay up trying to understand different things as complex as different dimensions, parallel universes, or aeronautics. Other nights I try to see if what new and upcoming technologies will help simplify this world/ universe, and bring people closer together.

Taking classes EDT6020 at Wilmington University, has steered my curiosity to different technologies used to help amplify teaching and understanding in the classroom. Many tools are working hand to hand with Smart Tech (Smart phones, tablets, computers, etc.). This makes things very interesting, different, and a little difficult because I was not taught this way. Readjusting one's way of doing something is like building an extension to a house without prior masonry, or carpentry knowledge. Fortunately we do not have to reinvent the wheel, and we are able to various media sources to help guide us, until we are comfortable and can make it our own.

So now we shall move forward to something I have found fun and interesting, QR Codes. QR Codes, Quick Response Codes, is "a machine-readable code consisting of an array of black and white squares, typically used for storing URLs or other information for reading by the camera on a smartphone..." (Oxford Dictionary). QR Codes can be used for many different applications. QR Codes can be used in a classroom for many different activities. A teacher can have pictures of different things pertaining to a particular subject with QR Codes below. The QR codes will contain more information about the picture for students to read. Students can use QR Codes to store text (notes they have created, URLs, etc.). This can make the class more dynamic, allowing for students to learn outside a textbook.
